What’s the First Step to Braces?
So you’re thinking about braces or your dentist suggested you see an orthodontist.
Now, you’re eager to get started or you’re not sure if you need braces, or you’re wondering what braces can do for you
And when’s the best time for braces?
We’re here to give you the information you need to make the best decision for you and your smile.
If you want to find out more about braces and crooked teeth, check out our videos here at Smilesooner.com. If you want to find out more about your own personal situation, we’d be happy to see you and discuss what braces can do for you and your smile.
You don’t need a referral from your dentist. The first step is to call us for an appointment – the consultation – this appointment is free in Winnipeg.
Or you can text us at 204-781-2855
At the consultation appointment you’ll sit in this very comfy chair. We’ll talk about your teeth and smile, and I’ll examine your smile, teeth and jaws to see what’s going on. Now we may need an x-ray to tell us more . We can take that x-ray that same day if you haven’t had one taken recently or we can get a copy from your dentist. I can tell you a lot without the x-ray, but sometimes we need the picture of what’s going on under the gums.
Now we can talk about what makes sense for you and your smile. So you may be ready for braces now. Or you may be younger – it can make sense to wait for more teeth to come in before beginning braces. You may need other dental treatment first – before you’re ready for braces. Now if you’re younger and not ready yet, we can arrange for a follow-up appointment to watch your teeth and jaws develop. We can see you until you’re ready for braces or maybe nature will adjust things so that you don’t need braces. I’m happy to see what nature can do for you.
Now if you’re ready to start, we’re ready for the next step, when you are. We take records to understand your teeth and jaws better. We take a second x-ray that shows the fit of your teeth and jaws, molds of your teeth, and photographs of your teeth and smile. These records give us the details we need to straighten your teeth.
We can give you the fees for treatment before those records are taken and we can send in a pre-authorization to your insurance, so you know your coverage. Lori and Elena are happy to help you with all that stuff.
So call us when you’re ready to find out more. We’re ready when you are – that first appointment is free in Winnipeg.
